Daniel received his diploma in chemistry in 2008 under the guidance of Prof. Bernhard Breit at the University of Freiburg, Germany. In 2012, he earned his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Geneva under the direction of Prof. Alexandre Alexakis. As a SNSF fellow, Daniel conducted postdoctoral studies with Prof. Larry E. Overman at the University of California, Irvine (USA). In 2014, Daniel joined Prof. Ilan Marek's group at the Technion (Haifa, Israel). In 2016, he moved to Rennes and in 2020 was appointed CNRS researcher at the Institute of Chemical Research in Rennes (France).
Currently, the group does not have funded PhD positions. Prospective candidates are welcome to apply for external scholarships, and I will gladly provide support and recommendations for such applications.
